Cast basalt

Fused basalt is one of the most commonly used anti-wear materials and widely used in pneumatic and hydraulic piping systems, hoppers, transport ducts, cyclones, etc. In addition to its high hardness and abrasion resistance, it has excellent resistance to almost all acids and alkalis.

Areas of application

  • Protection against abrasive wear
  • For medium to coarse material to be conveyed with high wear and tear,
  • At an operating temperature of up to 350 °C
  • Pipelines, channels, slides, chain conveyors, for example, in cyclone separators, containers, bunkers

Forms of delivery

  • Rectangular panels, 80 – 300 mm
  • Hexagonal panels, with wall thicknesses of 30 – 60 mm
  • Straight pipes
  • Pipe bends with radii of 400 – 3,000 mm
