Loading hopper (hopper) in port facility
Material:
Fine-grained (sticky) to coarse-grained (approx. 2-10cm diameter) material from quarries
Problem:
On the one hand, there is a problem with caking when loading fine-grained (sticky) material and, on the other hand, sliding and impact wear when loading coarse-grained material.
Old service intervals:
In principle not so much a problem with wear and tear on the system. The aim is to find a material that minimizes caking, but is still highly wear-resistant in order to ensure long service intervals even with coarse-grained material.
Alternative solution:
Since polyethylene is excellent at preventing caking, but is not particularly wear-resistant, lightweight rubber-ceramic composite panels were used.
